Greenish yellow, clear and brilliant. Expressive nose suggesting exotic fruits, passion fruit and lime, as well as fresh vegetables, cucumber and pepper. The palate is light, tasty and well-balanced between fruit, vegetables and the freshness of surprising acidity.

About this Wine

After manual harvesting, the grapes were quickly sent to the winery, where they were de-stemmed and gently pressed. The cold-clarified must fermented slowly for approximately 2 weeks in a stainless steel tank, at a controlled temperature (14ºC / 16ºC).

I lectured in Portugal during the ‘70’s, ‘80’s and ‘90’s.
‘ The Vinho verdhe from Moncao was an absolute favourite which I enjoyed greatly in the Fado houses of Alfama . The Muralhas is not only a nostalgic reminder of good friends but a reminder of the guality and extreme drinkability of one of the great historic wines of Portugal.

Luxuriously delicious

This excellent wine was on the menu at Crossroads Kitchen and we loved it there. I have since had three bottles and so pleased with it, such good quality for the price!
