Fortified Portuguese Wines

Port Wine

Tawny Port ranges from amber to deep brown, with nutty, dried-fruit flavours from long ageing in wood. Aged Tawnies and Colheitas are best served chilled and are lovely as an aperitif or after dinner, especially with walnuts, Stilton or Serra da Estrela cheese.

Ruby Port (including Vintage and LBV) is brighter, fruitier and slightly sweeter, showing the pure ripeness of the Douro. Serve at cool room temperature. Ruby styles pair well with cheeses like Azeitão, Cheddar or Serra da Estrela, and with chocolate or coffee desserts.

White Port comes in dry to very sweet versions and is usually served chilled, neat, over ice or mixed with tonic. Longer-aged White Ports are nuttier and richer.

Madeira Wine

Sweet Madeira is known for its caramel, toffee, dried-fruit and nutty flavours, developed through slow heating and long ageing. Its natural acidity keeps it vibrant even after decades. Serve slightly chilled with chocolate desserts, nut cakes, blue cheese or enjoy it on its own.

Moscatel

Moscatel is an aromatic sweet wine from Setúbal and the Douro, full of orange peel, apricot, honey and floral notes. Ageing in wood adds caramel richness and a smooth texture. Serve chilled. It pairs beautifully with pastries, fruit tarts, custards and strong cheeses, or simply enjoy it as a fragrant after-dinner sip.

Do I have to pay Import taxes?

Absolutely not!

The price you see is the price you pay 😊

We import our wines directly from Portugal and store them in our UK partner warehouse.

This means that all taxes including excise (UK wine tax), import duty and VAT are paid for.

Where do you ship to in the UK?

We currently ship to addresses within Mainland United Kingdom.

All orders will be sent to the address provided at checkout, so please double-check your shipping details to prevent any delays.

Unfortunately, we do not deliver to Northern Ireland or the Channel Islands currently.

If you’re outside the UK and interested in purchasing our wines for delivery within Europe, please contact us, and one of our EU associates will assist you. 

You can also place an order from outside the UK if the delivery address is within UK mainland (England, Scotland and Wales).
How long is delivery?

Delivery takes between 2-5 business days, depending on your location. We strive to deliver as soon as possible; however, delivery times are estimates and may vary based on unforeseen circumstances, including weather or carrier delays.
Can I track my order?

We will let you know when we dispatch your order, enabling order tracking whenever applicable.

You will receive an email confirming dispatch and informing you of the tracking number you may use to keep an eye on your order. On delivery day, you will get a text message from the carrier, confirming he has left the warehouse – this does not mean he/she will be heading immediately your way, so please do observe the scheduled time of delivery.

Orders will be dispatched only upon payment confirmation.
What if there’s no one at home?

Please note that our delivery service operates “throughout the day,” so we recommend choosing an address where someone is usually available to receive the order. If you’re not home often, consider using an alternative address, such as your workplace, a family member’s home, or a neighbour’s address.
What payment methods can I use?

You can pay for your order using your preferred method! We accept Credit cards, Debit cards, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay and Shop if you have a Shop account. If you prefer to pay by bank transfer, please get in touch with us for details.
Do you accept returns?

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 15 days after receiving your item to request a return. Customer is responsible for return shipping costs

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
