Lemon yellow with subtle greenish tones in colour, this organic and naturally cloudy white wine from the Vinho Verde region, reveals aromas reminiscent of yeast, citrus fruit, peach and herbaceous notes that rise invitingly from the glass.

The palate has marked acidity with a delicate mousse that makes it vibrant and some saline flavours on the finish. The wine shows wonderful character throughout.

A perfect match for fish, salads, seafood, starters and sushi.

Welcome to the NAT COOL universe!

Nat Cool, naturally "cool and funky," is an innovative concept created by Niepoort, a movement of unity among various producers with the aim of creating light and easy-to-drink wines. We have created a wine, reminiscent of the "cloudy" wines of yesteryear, which were bottled very early still with some residual sugar and in the presence of fine lees, to referment in the bottle and generate carbon dioxide.

Vinification: Nat Cool grapes are mostly from the Lousada sub-region. Vinification is done in the old-fashioned way, allowing the last grams of sugar to ferment in the bottle, with the fine lees. Malolactic fermentation also occurs in the bottle.

Ideal with snacks such as codfish cakes, pastries, sausages, among many other Portuguese snacks.

The Niepoort family arrived in Portugal from Holland in 1842, settling in Vila Nova de Gaia to begin what would become one of the country's most storied winemaking legacies. For four generations they focused exclusively on Port, building a reputation for elegance and complexity. That changed when Dirk Niepoort joined the family business in 1987 - a self-taught winemaker with an economist's mind and an artist's instinct.

Dirk's first dry table wine was met with scepticism, even within his own family. Undeterred, he launched the iconic Redoma in 1991, pioneering a lighter, fresher style of Douro wine at a time when the region was known only for Port. His philosophy - minimal intervention, respect for terroir and old vines - gradually transformed how the world saw Portuguese wine.

Niepoort has since expanded to Dão and Bairrada, creating the Niepoort Triangle - three distinct terroirs shaped by Schist, Granite and Limestone. A true Portuguese original.

You're Overpaying for French Wine Because You Don't Know About Portugal

Here's what other wine producing countries don't want you to know:

Portugal makes wines just as good, sometimes better, for half the price. Everyone’s been trained to worship the same names: Bordeaux, Burgundy, Napa, Tuscany. But here’s the uncomfortable truth those wine giants don’t want you to hear:

Portugal is making wines just as exceptional, and often better, for a fraction of the price.

And no, this isn’t a budget alternative. It’s a massive blind spot in the wine world. While the rest of the planet keeps pumping out the same 12 internationally famous grape varieties - Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay - Portugal has been doing something radically different.

They’ve quietly preserved more than 250 indigenous grapes you can’t find anywhere else on Earth.

Not copies. Not variations. Completely unique varieties with flavours, aromas, and textures you’ve literally never tasted before.

That £80 Cabernet you just splurged on? Portugal has wines made from grapes you’ve never even heard of… and they’ll absolutely stun you, for £20–£30.

Imagine discovering flavours that feel familiar and completely new.

Imagine drinking wine that feels like a secret... because hardly anyone else knows about it yet.

Still Drinking the Same 5 Grapes? You’re Missing the Magic of Wine

Cabernet. Merlot. Pinot Noir. Chardonnay. Sauvignon Blanc.

Congratulations, you drink wine like everyone else. Meanwhile, Portugal has 250+ indigenous grape varieties that literally don't grow anywhere else on Earth. Grapes with actual terroir.

Actual uniqueness. Actual stories that aren't just marketing.

And here's the part that'll piss off your wine snob friends: they're better quality for the price than almost anything coming out of Napa.

Port is what Portugal is famous for. But if that's all you know, you're missing the entire country.

Imagine drinking wine that feels like a secret... because hardly anyone else knows about it yet.
