The producer, tasting note published in 23/05/2022
This wine derives from grape varieties produced under very specific soil-climatic conditions - sandy soils and high temperatures - resulting in this warm, full-bodied and highly complex wine.
Ruby colour, with an aroma of red fruits. In the mouth, it is persistent and round. It is a different wine in its essence, whether due to the richness of the region or the careful selection of its grapes. Marked by a strong personality, it is a smooth, easy and extremely pleasurable wine.

About this Wine
The "terroir" of this region in Alentejo is characterized by high temperatures, schist soils with low yields, and great suitability for producing great wines, with the Portal de São Braz brand being one of the most well-known, as it lends its name to the most affordable regional wines and therefore the most consumed locally and nationally.
However, it was not the low price that made this brand famous, but the consistency of its quality and respect for the traditional wines of the sub-region. The brand name is intended to be a tribute to a symbol of the village of Granja, in Alentejo, and its church.
The vinification of Portal de São Braz Premium was carried out by mechanical treading, followed by alcoholic fermentation in 10-ton amphorae with temperature control and complete maceration.
