O Produtor, tasting note published in March 14th 2024

Wine with a rose petal colour, with aromas of extreme elegance: peach blossom, cherry, raspberry, and smoky notes. On the palate, it immediately shows its grandeur: seductive, tense, and vibrant from start to finish.

About this Wine

About this Wine

The Rosé Titan Reserve wine, a project by Luís Leocádio, is born from vineyards planted at an altitude of 700 m, on poor and rugged schist-granitic transition soil, which reveals surprising acidity.

Vinification: Fresh grapes at their ideal ripeness, handpicked into 20 kg boxes, are transported to the winery where they undergo a meticulous manual selection. Whole clusters are pressed in a pneumatic press, and the resulting must is directed to French oak barrels where it ferments at a controlled temperature of 12ºC for 30 days, followed by 6 months of aging with fine lees stirring.

Gastronomy: Enjoy with complex and rich-flavoured dishes such as fatty fish (turbot, john dory, and cod), medium-intensity meats, and aged cheeses.

Grape Blend: Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinto Cão, Tinta Amarela

About this Winery

From the beginning, the work has always focused on the search for old vines in the most genuine and less explored places, where there are new stories to be told in the form of wine.

It was at the foot of Serra do Reboredo (1,000 meters altitude), in Paredes da Beira, at the highest point of the Douro, that everything began, giving birth to the brand “Titan of Douro”. Surrounded by abundant granite outcrops, the area has sandy granite soils interspersed with quartz veins, an altitude between 700 – 1,000 meters, located on the slopes of the Rio Távora, and possesses an enviable heritage of century-old vineyards, untouched over time and maintained by the weathered hands of years of hard work over generations. This results in wines of great freshness, character, and identity!

Titan of Douro is a name inspired by the family's faithful friend, a Dogo Argentino, a dog with a tenderness and courage as big as his heart!
