O João Pato AKA Duckman Blablablabla foi vinificado com desengace total, prensado com maceração durante 5 dias com bagos de Baga e acabou a fermentação em inox. de seguida foi para pipos usados de 500l. Foi depois retirado dos pipos para cuba de inox e pRoasts 2 dias foi engarrafado sem filtrar.

About this Winery

The original João Pato lived from 1920 to 1984 and was reborn in 2018 in the spirit of Duckman. The Duckman spirit is not easy to define, it is a mixture of heritage from our ancestors with an inter-generational spirit of looking at the world in general and wine in particular. Furthermore it has been defined as an ART-isanal Wine Project that aims to raise questions about the customs and trends associated with the world... and also that of wine.
Duckman wants to support artists from the region, in their most diverse areas, from photography, music, writing... in short, anything that can be considered art and to use its wines as a vehicle for bringing the art of the region to the farthest corners of the world... Duckman also does not forget its people, its neighbours and friends who help us to have a more meaningful life, producing manual brochures, sculptures in fabric, etc...
Duckman is all of us who embrace this spirit of building a better world together!
The wines presented here result from the exclusive use of grapes produced by us from native grape varieties (Bairrada region), from small editions and reveal unexpected sensations that arouse questions! We minimize the use of sulphur, the wines are not always filtered and the wines are vegan (we don't use any product of animal origin during the entire production process).

I lectured in Portugal during the ‘70’s, ‘80’s and ‘90’s.
‘ The Vinho verdhe from Moncao was an absolute favourite which I enjoyed greatly in the Fado houses of Alfama . The Muralhas is not only a nostalgic reminder of good friends but a reminder of the guality and extreme drinkability of one of the great historic wines of Portugal.

Luxuriously delicious

This excellent wine was on the menu at Crossroads Kitchen and we loved it there. I have since had three bottles and so pleased with it, such good quality for the price!
