Mimadu is an aromatised cocktail (0% sugar) with low alcohol content (9.5%). Made from different wine grape varieties from the north of Portugal, some of which are reserve, specially selected to improve their maturity, complexity and constancy. The natural fruit gives it elegance and freshness. At sight it has a silver iridescent pink colour combined with a metallic effect, fine and shiny bubble. In the olfactory phase, intense aromas of fresh fruit and a note of ripe red fruits stand out. Great freshness, structured background and delicate effervescence give character to a different product, sweet, cheerful and a great weight of fruit.

One of the most expected moments of the year is the harvest. Harvested by our experienced farmers, it is then delivered to the O Mimadu factory, where it is fully processed. The richness of our soils, the long hours of sunshine and the temperate climate of our country give rise to the unique texture and flavour of our fruits.

About this Winery

We have been friends for over 15 years, so it is possible to say that our project started at the same time, since we met we have always had the will to create something of our own. Some people say that there must be a line between friendships and business, we think differently, friendships make us want to be better people and we stop looking at the product only as a source of income. As a well-known American businessman, John Rockefeller said, "A friendship created in business is better than business created in friendship." As we liked new experiences and had already researched several brands in the world where bottles conveyed a magical image, we decided that we wanted to try to do the same, but 100% Portuguese and without additives artiﬁciais. So we explored some farms in the Amarante area, Penaﬁel and started the production of our product, the junction of a Portuguese sparkling wine with natural fruit.

I lectured in Portugal during the ‘70’s, ‘80’s and ‘90’s.
‘ The Vinho verdhe from Moncao was an absolute favourite which I enjoyed greatly in the Fado houses of Alfama . The Muralhas is not only a nostalgic reminder of good friends but a reminder of the guality and extreme drinkability of one of the great historic wines of Portugal.
