The producer, tasting note published in 11/10/2023

Colour: Gold colour. Nose: Butter biscuit, dried citrus fruit. Body: Elegant and voluminous. Fine bubbles, silky and enveloping mousse, pungent acidity, this is where the Arinto grape shows its plasticity in any wine region. Finishes effusive, like all good sparkling wines. Highly recommended!

About this Wine

About this Wine

The Quinta d'Amares Reserva Bruto Sparkling Wine is produced using the traditional method, standing out for the blend of two distinct harvests.

Originating from the demarcated Vinhos Verdes region, Sub-region of Cávado, this wine is made from 100% Arinto. Its base consists of 20% Arinto from 2019, subjected to "battonage" in stainless steel tanks, a technique aimed at increasing the wine’s volume and complexity; and 80% Arinto from 2020, sourced from a parcel exposed to northern winds, harvested in the last week of August in 15 kg boxes and pressed with 60% stalks.

Winemaking: The blend of the two harvests underwent aging in the cellar for 14 months, resulting in a harmonious fusion of flavours and aromas.

Dégorgement: The disgorging process was completed on July 7, 2023.

This is a wine from the Minho Denomination of Origin, with an Indication of Geographic Origin (IG).
