Light and bright colour, the Teppo Peixe shows citrus and white flowers notes in the aroma. Slightly saline in the mouth, it is very delicate, enveloping and with a high acidity which allows a refreshing and crystalline finish. The light carbon dioxide present, when accompanied by dishes of Asian influence, raises the wine and works almost as a final shot to clear the palate. Light, discreet and elegant, is a very easy drinking wine

As uvas provêm da Casa de Vilar na sub-região de Sousa, de uma vinha com Alvarinho e Avesso, e da Quinta de Val Boa, situada na sub-região de Basto, onde neste momento, vinificamos e engarrafamos todos os vinhos verdes.
Este vinho foi elaborado a partir das castas Avesso, Trajadura e Azal, todas elas vinificadas separadamente em cubas de inox e com estágio de 10 meses.

About this Winery

The Niepoort family has been creating Port Wines since 1842. The first property in Douro was bought in 1987 and Dirk Niepoort started a new Era in the company with the creation of the first Redoma red in 1991. In the last years Niepoort took on the great challenge of interpreting other soils and climates and acquired two properties in other regions, Dão and Bairrada. I lectured in Portugal during the ‘70’s, ‘80’s and ‘90’s.
‘ The Vinho verdhe from Moncao was an absolute favourite which I enjoyed greatly in the Fado houses of Alfama . The Muralhas is not only a nostalgic reminder of good friends but a reminder of the guality and extreme drinkability of one of the great historic wines of Portugal.

Luxuriously delicious

This excellent wine was on the menu at Crossroads Kitchen and we loved it there. I have since had three bottles and so pleased with it, such good quality for the price!
