About this Wine

The grapes come from vineyards located in a terroir of excellence, respectively the Minho river valley and the Lima river valley, in soils of granite origin. Vinification: Grapes are harvested manually for small capacity boxes. After pressing, the must obtained is decanted for 48 hours, followed by fermentation at controlled temperature using pre-selected yeasts. Bottling takes place after the wine has stabilized, followed by a bottle aging.

Soalheiro is the first Alvarinho brand in the northern point of Portugal named Melgaço and one of the first Portuguese producers of Alvarinho.
